Mariano A. Davies grew up in Kent, went to a British boarding school and obtained a British university education. After teaching and lecturing for two years in the UK, he worked as a consultant and a part-time lecturer in Denmark. When KPMG was formed in 1988, he became a partner and director running e-learning for KPMG worldwide for a ten year period.

Since 1998, he has been the CEO of MS Consulting Group and The International Institute of Written Oxford English and he sits on a number of professional boards.
