The British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce was set up in 1993 to support business between the United Kingdom and Bulgaria. Now that Bulgaria is firmly established as a full and active member of the European Union the potential for business continues to grow apace as funds are deployed by the major donor agencies to assist in the redevelopment and upgrading of almost every aspect of infrastructure. Opportunities exist across the board – both in investment and consultancy as well as in regular import/export activities.

Our aim is to offer practical assistance on a regular basis. We maintain an active information network by means of our website and by organising events such as business missions, seminars and social meetings with guest speakers who have special expertise and knowledge of the market. We can also provide contacts for a range of business services such as translation, legalisation, transportation and logistics, legal services, business consultancy, market research and many others.

The chamber works in close association with the Bulgarian Embassy in London, the British Embassy in Sofia, UK Trade & Investment and with local chambers of commerce. The BBCC board is composed of members from Britain and Bulgaria who have extensive personal contacts in government and business circles in both countries, and we are therefore ideally placed to help member companies achieve their business aims.

EU accession has put Bulgaria firmly on the map as a European market open and ready for business. It is easily accessible, with more direct flights than ever linking not just London and Sofia but regional centres as well, thanks to an expanded schedule by the major carriers and the introduction of new routes by no-frills airlines.
