COUNCIL OF BRITISH CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE IN EUROPE

The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK is a company limited by guarantee devoted to promoting and extending business relations between United Kingdom and Italy.

Established in 1886, it is one of the oldest of the 73 Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad and it was formally acknowledged by the Italian Government in accordance with the Act 518/70.

It offers a wide range of both standard and personalised services to members and non-members and it assists trade and investments in both directions.

Membership of the Chamber grants access to a number of free or special rate services and is open to all companies or individuals in United Kingdom and Italy who require assistance with trading of goods or services between these two countries.

As the official UK representative of Fiera Milano, VeronaFiere and Padova Fiere the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK works in the promotion of the most important Italian trade fairs among British companies, associations and magazines, organizing buyers and visitors delegations and assisting potential exhibitors when applying for stands.

The Chamber is also involved in important UK Fairs for the best of Made in Italy including La Dolce Vita, Ecobuild, All-Energy and Natural/Organic Products, which it believes are the ideal windows where one can present the appropriate product in London and for the British market.

The commercial services are created for firms, both Italian and British, willing to export to Italy or to the UK, and also to companies seeking a potential commercial partner. Therefore these services mainly include the providing of commercial information and partner or commercial agents searches.

Services also include organising workshops, predominately in the food and drink sector, press conferences and other promotional events in order to introduce products and services into the UK market. These events are usually held in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.

We also work on events arranged in Italy, for which we are required to provide British buyers and/or importers.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce can also provide different services for investments. We can offer assistance for those who are interested in setting up a business in the UK or in some specific Italian areas. In Italy we cooperate with Invest in Milan, Piedmont Region and Rome.  We also assist those who would like to buy a property in Italy, in cooperation with one a legal firm who is also a member.  We monitor the economic outlook between the UK and Italy and Italian investments in the UK.
