British-Swiss Chamber launches Brexit Hub

British Swiss Chamber Brexit Humb

During the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham in early October, Theresa May, the British Prime Minister, confirmed that she will trigger Article 50 of the LisbonTreaty before the end of March 2017. Once Article 50 has been invoked, the two-year process of leaving the EU and agreeing the terms of the split will be set in motion.

Despite the given timeline, businesses and individuals still consider uncertainty as their main concern. In response to the current political, economic and social situation in Britain, The British Swiss Chamber of Commerce (BSCC) has created a Brexit Hub with the latest information as well as expert views on business implications that may appear as a result of Brexit negotiations.

The hub provides information about past and upcoming BSCC events relating to Brexit. It is also the place to learn more about the Task Force Europe that is operating as an independent platform by providing briefing papers on topical developments relevant for business. You can also read BSCC members’ analysis on Brexit and learn about the impact Brexit may have on different industries.

In order to provide the British-Swiss business community with a platform to comment on the latest developments, the chamber also launched a Brexit survey that is intended to be a starting point for a greater Brexit publication. This survey is a unique opportunity for members to express views and concerns, and for the voice of the British-Swiss Business community to be heard by local and national authorities. The primary findings of the Brexit survey will be published shortly on the Brexit Hub
