COCBOE speaks to Cambridgeshire exporters

Cambridgeshire Chamber Global launch

Anne-Marie Martin, COBCOE Chief Executive, recently helped celebrate the achievements of exporters in Cambridgeshire. She was Guest of Honour and the Cambridgeshire Chambers Global Leaders lunch at Downing College, Cambridge, where she presented awards and spoke about barrier free trade.

Businesses in Cambridgeshire using the chamber's export documentation service have performed well in supporting the UK economy. Exports in excess of £70m in value have been made outside of Europe in April and May alone – a 29% increase on the previous year.

Prestige Business Travel won the International Service Provider award, Kinesis won the Overall Growth in Exports award for the second year, Ward Trade Marks won New Exporter of the Year and Diamond Engineering Ltd and PCME Ltd both won the Achievement in New Markets award.

Iwona Lebiedowicz, Managing Director of PAB Language Centres and award sponsor, commented: “It is a great way to celebrate successful businesses from Cambridgeshire. All the speakers were very inspiring and it was interesting to learn some successful stories and a great pleasure to congratulate the winners. I truly believe that the energy and excitement of the day will generate fresh ways of thinking about what’s possible in exporting.”
