Sertec helped by British Chamber Hungary

Sertec helped by British Chamber HungaryThe British Business Centre of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (BCCH) has been assisting Sertec for the past year. In that time, the British engineering group have become foundation members of the BCCH, thereby taking full advantage of the unique professional services the network has on offer, to achieve an emblematic British brand presence.

Sertec is a huge British automotive engineering firm, manufacturing a wide range of components for the automotive sector and supplying made-to-order products to all the leading car manufacturers, top of the list being Jaguar Land Rover.

Within the group, there are various entities dotted all over the globe with their headquarters in Birmingham where they have several sites dealing with anything from components to logistics, providing both semi-manufactured and final components either to customer direct or other Sertec sites Having diversified into several locations, the group collectively how has well over 2,300 employees. The sale of Wild Automotive to Sertec Group alone created a £250 million automotive engineering powerhouse in 2016.

As a result of this acquisition, Sertec acquired the manufacturing site in Ászár Hungary. With the group insistent on applying the overall company ethos to their Hungarian branch as well, they asked the BCCH to assist in the complex procedures that followed the re-branding of the company. Along with the British Business Centre providing general consultancy service, the centre also reached out to the chamber network to provide assistance with the following: legal and investment advisory, available funding opportunities, both in terms of EU and government funds relating to equipment, training and investment, as well ash additional HR/ recruitment services.

As Sertec is flying a very significant British exporting flag with tremendous tangible results, the chamber is also planning to organise a high-level CEO dinner with Sertec, whereby the top UK management along with the local Hungarian directors would be acting as hosts.

We all trust that Sertec will continue to be a flagship British exporting story for years to come.
