Smart-EST UK trade mission from Estonia

The prospect of British withdrawal from the EU has opened up vast areas of uncertainty for British business and the world. The City of London, the world’s largest financial centre, is seeking ways to retain easy access to the EU single market without having to move hundreds of thousands of jobs to Frankfurt, Paris or other EU centres.

Estonia’s global lead in the delivery of e-systems, combined with its high standards of education and the well-known attractions of Tallinn, give Estonian businesses huge potential for partnerships with British businesses, whether in financial technology, trading or wider services.

The British Estonian Chamber of Commerce (BECC), in co-operation with the Corporation of London, COBCOE, the Estonian Embassy in London and the British Embassy in Tallinn is proud to present its fifth trade mission to the UK.

The trade mission will take place from 11-14 November and will include a visit to Cambridge, and the Smart-EST Conference in London on 14 November.

Trade mission programme:

11 November – the opportunity for research and technology teams and educationalists to meet with their colleagues and discuss investment and mutual collaboration

12 November – participating in the Cambridge University Baltic conference in the stunning university city, followed by a gala dinner in the beautiful medieval surroundings of Christ’s College

13 November – Morning sightseeing, then transfer to London

14 November – the fifth Smart-EST conference, to take place in the prestigious surroundings of the Pewterers’ Hall, one of the historic livery halls in the heart of the City of London
