Hertfordshire Global turning uncertainty into opportunity

Hertfordshire Global launchHertfordshire Chamber of Commerce rebranded its International Trade services to Hertfordshire Global in June. For many years, the chamber has served businesses in Hertfordshire (a county in England north of London) with advice and practical help on documentation, international marketing and business information.

The rebranding presents a more formal opportunity for local businesses to connect with overseas markets and business prospects through a number of channels with account manager support, even more important in a climate of new opportunity and appetite for global trade. It also provides membership of COBCOE Connects.

Anne-Marie Martin, Chief Executive of COBCOE, spoke at the launch, giving a European perspective on international trade and business. She also explained how COBCOE Connects makes it possible to trade globally in just a few clicks, and how members can use the digital platform to find trusted contacts in new markets matched to their specific needs. Hertfordshire Chamber is now a network on the COBCOE Connects platform.

Also speaking at the event on the theme of turning uncertainty into opportunity, were:

  • Ronan Quigley, Director of Corporate Services at the British Chambers of Commerc
