BACK 2 BUSINESS hosts 5,200 guests at 11 events in 2017


BACK 2 BUSINESS, the free global networking initiative, launched an international world tour in 2017, kicking off in Dubai in March 2017. BACK 2 BUSINESS provides a unique platform for the SME business community across all continents. BACK 2 BUSINESS ensure that they promote trade and investment opportunities locally and worldwide by organising extraordinary events with substance, hosting chambers of commerce, embassy trade teams and business groups. These power networking events have fast grown into an international phenomenon, paving the way for the international community to break protocols and connect with one another, and provide their members and clients with valuable opportunities in the local market and worldwide.


The world tour included Bucharest, Romania, with esteemed sponsors such as Money Corp, Moore Stephens, DHL. Other sponsors in other cities included Virgin Atlantic, Turkish Airlines, and Pots Pans and Boards, a restaurant owned by famous British Chef Tom Aikens.

Event partners included the British Business Group Dubai and Northern Emirates, German Chamber, Hong Kong Chamber, Chinese Chamber, Australian Business Council, Czech Chamber of Commerce and Trade Team, French Business Council, GCC Business Council and South African Business Council, to name a few.

The special edition of BACK 2 BUSINESS in Mexico brought the business community together in order to raise money for the victims of the September earthquake on behalf of Amistad Británico-Mexicana in Mexico to rebuild schools and hospitals. 

BACK 2 BUSINESS successfully gathered together the local and international business community in London in November, represented by chambers of commerce including those from Brazil, the UK, China, Colombia, Germany and Hong Kong, among many others. During the evening, WeWork awarded US$108,000 to three companies that played a heroic role during the earthquake crisis and provided much needed support. The Fuerza Mexico Award was distributed equally among Techo, Échale and Each of these three organisations has a different role at different stages of the reconstruction. 

Guests included the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico Victor Hugo Morales, HM Ambassador to Mexico Duncan Taylor CBE, the Honduran Ambassador Alden Rivera Montes, the Argentinian Ambassador Daniel Chuburu, the Indian Ambassador Ashwani Kumar, the Malaysian Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Bin Mazlan, and Chinese Commercial Attaché Enrique Ding.

Ambassador Sponsors included Turkish Airlines Corporate Club, the Institute of Export, Farazad Investments, British Beers, San Matias and Yellow Tail.

BACK 2 BUSINESS Cuba, November 2017 

 Working with the British Embassy in Mexico, BACK 2 BUSINESS successfully delivered a UK trade delegation to Havana, Cuba taking a total of 32 UK companies to FIHAV (the largest annual multi-sector trade fair in Cuba. The three-day delegation programme covered a variety of activities such as B2B meetings, a full day conference on financial services and investment in Cuba, gala/networking dinners and a chance to gain exposure within FIHAV. Dr Antony Stokes, HM Ambassador to Cuba, who hosted the delegation in Havana, opened the conference with a keynote speech briefing the delegation on opportunities for UK companies within the Cuban market. The programme went on to cover important elements of doing business in Cuba with speeches by Arnaldo Alayon, Vice President of Banco Central de Cuba, Shandiz Godazgar, Vice President of National Bank of Canada, and Korosh Farazad, CEO of Farazad Investments, who talked about how to invest in the Cuban market.



The 2018 BACK 2 BUSINESS tour will include host Countries such as China, Colombia, Germany, Panama, Romania, the UK, Australia and the United States, with more Countries joining the initiative. BACK 2 BUSINESS has partnered with WeWork for the 2018 tour, which has 130,000 members globally. Turkish Airlines, the DIT and COBCOE have also confirmed their participation. 

BACK 2 BUSINESS offers partners a unique opportunity. Together with its global partners the initiative is currently planning tailor-made BACK 2 BUSINESS power networking events and roadshows for target markets inc Canada, Japan, Sweden, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia and India, focusing on target sectors such as Financial Services, Tech, Telecoms, Industrial Products and Consumer Goods & Retail.
