Partnering COBCOE
Promoting your organisation across Europe through COBCOE is a uniquely targeted way of reaching key customers.
COBCOE, the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe, was founded in 1973 by British Chambers in Europe to meet their need for a joint platform, working with them to advance international trade and business with the United Kingdom.
Based in London, COBCOE is an independent non-profit organisation representing 41 British Chambers of Commerce across 38 countries in Europe, four of which are based in the UK, and in turn speaking for and with over 10,000 businesses.
COBCOE’s aim is to protect and promote the interests of its Chamber members, and in turn their own business membership through representation, co-operation and support of international trade and commerce. To do this COBCOE liaises closely with governments, including specifically UK Trade and Investment and British business organisations in the UK.
COBCOE provides additional day to day support services and assistance for member Chambers from its base in London which include opportunities for training and professional development for Chamber Directors and staff, and recognition for individual member Chamber achievements through its high profile Chamber of the Year Awards scheme and information and advice of doing business with the UK.
COBCOE provides both member Chambers and their own business members access to the additional invaluable suite of promotional and marketing tools, opportunities to attend the various high profile COBCOE organised events and an extensive cross-border opportunities for networking, B2B and expert local information exchange services.
You can see more about COBCOE and its member Chambers on our website at www.cobcoe.eu
How can becoming a partner of COBCOE benefit you?
With the ability to reach many thousands of successful businesses across Europe, becoming a Partner of COBCOE clearly gives you extensive means of maximising your organisation’s potential for access and exposure throughout our membership network in a highly cost-effective way.
Partnership levels are available in 3 clear categories:
”Benefactor”
Those companies whose main interest is to support the organisation’s endeavours – with the vision to see the purpose and benefits of having such an organisation develop to a viable position in a leading role as part of a CSR strategy and will be of particular interest to the larger multinational corporations and large British brand businesses with a keen interest in promoting the UK business brand
“European Strategic Partners” (ESP)
Is attractive for those organisations with a focused strategy and outlook to develop business and brand presence and activities throughout Europe or key markets/regions of Europe. This partnership level is available in two packs – Gold and Silver packs and fees may be payable partially “in kind” to be agreed.
This category includes corporate membership of a given number of COBCOE chambers outside of the UK or alternative options for membership of the regional group Chambers in the COBCOE network attracting additional group marketing tools. The current regional groups in the COBCOE network include the Nordic-Baltic Region, the Carpathian Region and the SE Europe Region
Our goal is to find a customised and practical programme with each of our ESP partners, designed to specifically help them reach their objectives, so the below table indicates the general benefits as a starting point, but in essence, our role is to help you to set and implement your European marketing strategy and to manage your relationships with the British bilateral chambers in our European network. This relationship is not meant to replace but to compliment and enhance any existing relationships you may already have in our network as well as to benefit from the many marketing tools available via the direct COBCOE platform.
“Sponsor”
This level of partnership is attractive for those organisations interested in a more ad hoc, lower cost, less demanding arrangement with COBCOE, whereby they gain entry to the network and access to network Chambers, collaborate on ideas and activities of mutual interest (to be individually agreed).
